I don't normally leave reviews but I loved this series so much that I felt compelled. it was sweet, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyable. My husband and I ran a cat rescue for ten years and the author's descriptions are very accurate.

I loved all the characters, including the pets. She did a great job of tying up loose ends also. This is more "light" mystery but such a fun read!

In this third book of the Catskills Pet Rescue series, Kari's long lost ex-husband shows up in town. After all, what better than a lottery win to attract long lost relatives? However, things go from bad to worse when he claims their divorce was never finalized. He wants half of everything Kari owns. When he dies suddenly, Kari is the primary suspect. Can she find the killer before she is arrested?

The pace of the book felt a bit slow to me. I had a bit of trouble sticking to reading it. The mystery is very well plotted though. The characters are engaging and likeable. It just wasn't my favorite in the series so far.

Really enjoyed the third installment in the series! I went back to audio after reading the second because I like the narrator so much. In this one, Kari’s abusive ex husband shows up and she’s tossed into a murder suspect list once again, forced to prove her innocence- and solve yet another case for the sheriff! Wish there were more in the series so I could keep going.

this is the second book i have listen to in this series and i just loved it. the storyline was great and the narrator did a great job.
