Nightmares of her parents’ deaths fifteen years earlier haunt Victoria’s dreams. During her search for clues, she discovers she has a paternal aunt and uncle in Denver who may be able to shed light on the mystery of her parents. Against the wishes of many, she travels from the safety of her life on the Texas Panhandle to Denver, and then on to the booming mining town of Silverton, Colorado, to find answers.

Colorado Treasure is the first book in Derinda Babcock’s Treasures of the Heart trilogy. Derinda is the author of the three books in the Destiny series, and will release the first book in a medieval fantasy series, A Tale of Three Kingdoms, April 2020. She lives in southwestern Colorado near the base of the western slope of the Rocky Mountains.

The book has a wonderful plot and characters. What really brings it to life was Christy Lou’s narration. Each character has their own voice and accent which totally absorbs the listener into the story. You are suddenly within the story. You are on a train, on the streets of Denver or Silverton, or mountain high on a cliff on Red Mountain Pass. It is is a fantastic book. Thank you to the author Derinda Babcock for a thrilling book. Thank you Christy Lou for a perfect narration. Blessings. Cannot wait for book 2. I am missing Tony and Victoria already! 🙏❤️

What beautiful story! This is the type of book you want to lay in the summer sun and enjoy! I loved how the author wove a clear and crisp picture of every character and every scene! This is a Hallmark movie in the making, I see it perfectly and clearly in the author’s descriptions.
The smooth, peaceful, and even tone of the narrator matched this story perfectly! The accents and slight changes in vocal color, give each character such a distinct voice, both in who they are as individual people, and how they feel emotionally. What a superb performance of a beautiful story! I’m so glad this is the first of a few books, because I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Morales family!
