I enjoyed the historical nuances in this story somewhat unbelievable though but maybe could have been for some people. I am glad I chose, a long listen.

What a beautiful love story, so unlike the stories of most kings of old. Just wish the voice of Catherine de Medici wasn’t so horrible, though maybe they did that on purpose.

This novel was so descriptive I felt like I was there. I could see the gowns and the countryside!! I could smell the perfume and hear the cheering crowds!!

this was a very good book fairly historically accurate I do love the extra characters added and the descriptions of the places are incredibly accurate and beautiful
