My 7 and 4 year old listened in the car on the way home. Very cute and fun- they laughed all the way home! It's like the Hank the Cowdog stories, only clearly more modern and without some of the cliched stereotypes that weren't appropriate for my kids that made me stop listening to those. It's a sweet story about a little girl and her grumpy horse and their shenanigans on the farm. It also does a nice job of explaining that hard work and caring for animals is part and parcel of owning and animal.

My kids and I really enjoy the Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa stories by Erica Silverman. They are fun and interesting and the friendship between Kate and Cocoa is heartwarming. Highly recommend.
