Critias is one of Plato's late dialogues and contains the story of the mighty island kingdom Atlantis and its attempt to conquer Athens, which failed due to the ordered society of the Athenians. Critias is the second of a projected trilogy of dialogues, preceded by Timaeus and followed by Hermocrates. The latter was possibly never written, and Critias was left incomplete. This edition was translated by Benjamin Jowett in 1871.

Is that supposed make you sound smart or something? the voice was jarring... the subject matter was jarring... I found the chapter divisions quite jarring etc. It was a book. I didn't have to read it. I got important stuff done while I listened. it was nice. This ones about Atlantis. It's cool stuff.

whycome ppl use teh word jarring n reviews so much

The reader cannot give an expressive and dynamic interpretation. It’s a very flat reading, no change on rhythm or expression, regardless of what’s being said, almost seems like a robot or a reading from the 50’s. Just because its Plato, doesn’t have to be read like this... It’s difficult to keep focus after a while... a shame...

Not very good narration
