The United States is unrecognizable. Most of the landscape remains frozen while the NepSat winds continue to rip apart the very fabric of life. After mercenaries destroy the only home Dakota has ever known, she and her father, Navy SEAL Commander Decker Storm, find an underground sanctuary called Juniper Caves. They move there to begin a new life and quickly find that their advanced technology may prove to be humanity’s last hope.
Terrorist teams are sent to the United States to kidnap the president and assist in launching new biological weapons that would eradicate any remaining life. After finding out about the coming second attack, Decker begins training strike teams to seek out and engage the enemy.
Dakota is promoted to Commander, but she must prove herself in combat against a jealous female subordinate who will use any means to win. Dakota must endure Juniper’s Top Gun competition to choose her strike team. A dual is ordered between Dakota and another SEAL Commander to settle a final choice.
As strike teams depart to defend the country, no one is aware that Dakota’s new team is heading directly into a terrorist nest that could end all hopes of saving the president and preventing certain doom.
