Good book just a little short for the world building and plot line. Main character fluctuated between super tough and mildly immature.

I love a good series more than a stand alone novel but if the first one doesn't grab me I don't buy the rest. I read the summary of this book a dozen times and passed it up. I finally gave it a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I'll be buying Jared now.
