Mankind’s dominance has come to an end …

When a terrorist group detonates a small nuclear device at a level four biohazard facility, it releases the infection vectors stored within and creates a contagion that devastates the planet.

Entire species are wiped out, while those that survive are genetically transformed into prehistoric mutations of their former self.

Secret Service agent Alex Durham is assigned to protect the president. As the dangers of the expanding nuclear fallout become apparent, he accompanies the country’s leadership as they seek shelter from the impending contagion.

When they emerge weeks later, the global aftermath of the terrorist attack leaves the survivors struggling to find safety in a world that has regressed millions of years. Creatures from the past and those newly created rise to challenge mankind’s dominance.

All that matters now is survival …

Walt Browning, the bestselling author of Extinction Survival, returns with this harrowing post-apocalyptic survival series. Don’t miss this tale about people trying to survive the consequences of man’s arrogance, all while somehow maintaining their humanity.

I love the high testosterone end of the world genre. This is great, Browning’s extinction series was entertaining. I was looking forward to this!

Right up my alley, with a shiny new twist in a well trod trope.

I prefer the authors previous works but I got this on sale. Worth listening. I don’t know if it’s worth a credit though.

Eh. Not great but good

I'll start this review with what I wrote about Walt Browning after reading his Extinction Survival Series:
"This four-book series was superb and I'll always recommend it. It flowed nicely and tied up well with the final book. Walt Browning is a gifted author who now has a spot on my very short list of authors I watch for new books.
Bravo Zulu, Mr. Browning!"

My watch list pinged for Darwin Contagion and I got excited. I wasn't disappointed. This book has perhaps one of the most bold plot lines I've ever seen. At the beginning of the book I was thinking "Oh Walt, did you bite off more than you can chew?" The answer is no. He pulled it off and then some. If you like EOTWAWKI books, you're going to love this one. It's exciting, has characters you care about, and it's a bold original idea. Can't wait for the next book.

Finally Another Browning Book!

The characters are a masterpiece of love and hate! The support and realism of MC and teammates lifts the heart and keep you invested throughout the book. On the other hand, some characters, are almost too well written, giving the listeners a very clear desire for "Mercy" (as shown to the Majority Leader 👍😁) Walt please keep writing! There's so much more to tell, please keep it coming as soon as possible!
