The Black Jewel awakens in Death Magic, Book 6 of the series.

Known as the Primal Jewels, the Black, the Quicksilver, and the Sunstone have long been lost. This is the story of their return to the lands of Cymru. Many old evils stir. Four score marriages between the Fae and the River Folk result in interesting offspring that have not been seen for centuries. King Arawn of the Dead schemes to raise an army to invade the River Haven. The Kindred face a mysterious plague, Myrrdin is nowhere to be found and Oberon is up to something.

Brand struggles to deal with the tricks of the Fae, the retreat of the Kindred, and the rise of the Dead in Death Magic, the sixth book in this epic series of fantasy novels by best-selling author B. V. Larson.

Great book. Another gripping tale of heros, villains, and even darker things! A must read series!

A Dark deathly turn in a fantastic story

This book, as the title obviously implies, is the necromancy book and even though I've listened to many books that involve and even focus on the dark magics, this book was one of the better ones. It not just about the necromancer himself but involves complimentary magical entities like the Shining Lady beguiling other mortals to her side. There is also subterfuge that turn battle encounters from near defeat to near victory. Yes, what would a necromancer be unless he unleashes his army of undead on unsuspecting soldiers and civilians alike.

B. V. Larson in concert with Mark Boyett make campfire ghost stories seem like Barney re-runs.

One of the more macabe of the series so far
