I was ready for a light mystery. Winston's book didn't disappoint. It's humorous and easy to follow. The characters--especially Anastasia's mother and mother-in-law--are a hoot. And if you consider the bird as a character, add that one to the list. To top it off, Anastasia is a delightful character. You'll root for her as she moves from one crisis to the other. Overall, this is a great audio.

I like the narrator. The mystery part of the story is good. It does feel like there is an awful lot of drama in Anastasia Pollack’s life. I would likely enjoy the books more with slightly less drama.

This is the second in the Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mysteries series. I listened to this book narrated by Alexandra Bitton-Bailey.
This book begins 3 months after Anastasia’s husband’s death and xxx after the first book. Anastasia no longer has to worry about the loan shark her husband owed money to; he’s in jail.

Anastasia deals with the following personnel at her home on a daily basis: two teen sons, a PITA mother-in-law, and her oversexed mother along with a dog, a cat and a parrot. It is a bit overwhelming. Luckily she has a handsome tenant, Zack Barnes, in her ex-craft office above the garage.

Wild ride through this mystery. Enjoyed every minute & the narrator, Alexandra Bitton-Bailey, did a wonderful job.

The audiobook, "Death by Killer Mop Doll" is a wonderful listen! Not only does author Lois Winston treat us to one of her crafty crafting mysteries, but Alex Bitton-Bailey is an ideal voice artist! As I listened to the book, I enjoyed her gentle tone of humor as she conveyed each character and kept the story moving. From beginning to end, she made me feel as if I were a friend with whom she was sharing her fun and delight - even in the midst of murder and mayhem. And why not? Author Lois Winston is a terrific writer who really delivers! Yes, you'll enjoy a plot that turns and twists (I didn't see one of those murders coming!), but you'll also delight in her characters. And in an Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mystery, you'll get plenty of interesting characters! I guess my favorite is Anastasia herself, with her sassy outlook on life, her incredible coping skills in the face of many challenges, and her enduring love of her family. BTW, I'm a weekend dabbler in crafts myself, so I enjoyed the craft projects. Even just listening, inspired me to experiment with a few creative ideas. What fun! And what an anecdote to cold, grey days in winter! So, I recommend that you treat yourself to "Death by Killer Mop Doll" via Amazon, Audible and iTunes.
