I hadn’t read book 1 so was nervous I’d be lost. Not so. It was explained enough as a back story to catch me up. Don’t befriend a killer. They will have a following. I enjoyed listening to this book. Kept me coming back.

When Pressure ended, I thought I'd seen the last of these characters, but I was wrong! Seems there were still a few old grudges to work out. Equally as thrilling as Pressure, if a bit more far-fetched. Still a very worthy conclusion to the story.

Ive been a big Jeff Strand fan the last few years. Ive listened to or read all of his adult books, some of them multiple times. All of his adult books except Pressure and Deathless. Im not sure exactly what kept me from finishing pressure. Im a hugh horror fan and I dont mind consuming uncomfortable things, however for some reason I couldnt get myself to finish pressure.

After listening to both Pressure and Deathless I think I have it figured out. I see Jeff Strand as doing horror comedy, and this series of books is just horror. The main charachter reminds me a bit of Andrew Mayhem, except without the funny ha ha moments. It threw me off and kept me from consuming these last two books by the author.

Had I not had the opportunity to listen to the audiobool for free, for an honest review I may still have had Pressure on my To Read list.

Deathless is a worthy follow up to pressure. A little less serious, and somehow a little more dark. Well written as all his books are. An enjoyable read all in all. Definitly a must read for someone loooing for a unique horror tale to consume.

This book is the sequel to Pressure and it does not disappoint! If you haven't read anything by Strand then this is a warning : This book is Brutal. I do have a few questions about some things that were not covered, but maybe this will be a trilogy! Solid 5 stars. My reviews for Strand's work will always be 5 stars though because, well, favoritism 😅 He could write about pencil sharpening and I'd give him 5 stars.
