Are you a Christian, or someone curious about Jesus? Have you been challenged by the fact that many accounts of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs) contradict one of His central teachings: only those who follow Him will inherit eternal life? If so, then this book is an absolute must read for you.
Dr Orson Wedgwood, a Ph.D. medical scientist, and blogger of NDE research, has spent decades sifting through the anecdotal, clinical and scientific data on NDEs. In Did Jesus Die For Nothing he presents a condensed case for why NDEs have been proven real. He then discusses the core elements of NDEs, and how or even whether these align with the teachings of the world’s major religions. Can religion be dispensed with, as some leading NDE proponents suggest?
Having established that only Jesus fully understood the details of the afterlife, he then proposes a hypothesis as to why some NDEs suggest everyone makes it, why some NDEs report Hell and why 90% of the elderly who are resuscitated never have an NDE (spoiler alert – the latter is not due to memory issues).
It all boils down to a version of Pascal’s Wager – a wager that if you lose may cost you your very soul.
(Please note that the first half of this book is an updated and condensed version of my previous book NDE: Near Death Experience and the AWARE Studies - as a result, and because I believe this subject is too important to make cost a barrier to reading, I have priced this fairly).
