Both male & female protagonist experienced loss & minimal support.
Neither one could have made it without their belief in Christ. The female protagonist started out strong then we started to see her strength & self esteem being eroded away. The stuff she was going through would bring the strongest person to their knees.
We got to see the male protagonist’s fear and doubt which he didn’t show to the world or family/friends.
I actually respected the characters as they dealt with their struggles which never affected their faith. I look forward to more in this series.

First book by this author. I will read more. Twists and turns, kept me engaged. I love how she weaved God and prayer into the story line and the budding love story was not filled with sex, smut, and cursing. Thank you for that.
