Urban artist Riley Flynn spends her days wandering the streets of Dallas, sketching the city she loves. Then dead bodies start showing up in the exact locations she was sketching, and the police arrive on her doorstep. With every reason in the world to distrust the law, she’s reluctant to help the striking detective assigned to the case, especially after the cops start treating her like a suspect. As the stakes get deadlier, Riley’s instinct for self-protection wars with civic duty and unexpected attraction.

Detective Claire Hanlon is all about the facts, the law, and climbing the Dallas PD ladder. Her career advancement hinges on capturing the killer terrorizing the city, and the only thing in her way is the incredibly stubborn, incredibly beautiful person of interest Riley Flynn, who is also incredibly off limits. Because, she might be guilty of murder.

I loved Drawn. I really liked the plot and the main characters. Yes, it will keep you guessing. Yes, enough romance to keep everyone happy.

Excellent!

I thought the story was actually really interesting, but I was not a fan of the choice in narrator. I’ve listened to Paige McKinney narrate other stories before and they were good, but the lack of emotion just made it sound like paint drying.

Decent book

The book was really good overall and had excellent narration, but the ending was somewhat abrupt and left, what I felt to be, some loose ends. There was nothing really about what happened to Bruce and his ex-partner even though they played a significant role in the story.

That's the end? (small spoiler alert)

Carson Taite know how to build her plots. This one was a very good one. You could not guess the outcome. Loved the characters, and there was not too much forward backwards between the two protagonists.
Paige McKinney is one of my favorite narrators and she was as good in this one.

Great book

Struggled to finish. I wanted to like this. The narrator was either monotone or over the top with emphasis. The story was slightly ridiculous. No, not slightly. It just was. The main characters were dull, and there was nothing in the story that made you want to get behind them. They went from not liking or trusting each other, to jumping into bed and saying I'll love you forever in a matter of less than 2 weeks.
