DreamLand was supposed to be paradise—an engineered fantasy world where anything was possible. A place to step into adventure, live a story, and become a legend. For Samuel Jack, it was a chance to finally become the gunslinger he'd always dreamed of being.

Then the gates locked. The screams started. And fantasy died.

From somewhere deep within the amusement park, its creator—Rutherford Dwight Soros—pulls the strings. Every realm, every system, every mechanical heartbeat moves to the rhythm of his will. The Lifebots—indistinguishable from flesh and blood except for their black, soulless eyes—carry out his commands, while cybernetic hybrids claw for power and the promise of eternal life.

Sam came for wonder. Now he kills to survive. The Colt on his hip isn't a game anymore. Friends vanish. Lies multiply. And the truth about DreamLand grows darker with every step.

In a world engineered by a madman—one forging heroes and villains to populate his fantasies—survival comes down to a single choice: bend to his design… or fight for your soul.

A dark dystopian sci-fi western with Weird West elements, drawing inspiration from Westworld, The Dark Tower, and Red Dead Redemption.

Well written and well read. If you want a novel that excites end of the world thinking coupled with Ai driven moral dilemmas that won’t disappoint this is where the bus stops. The author does a phenomenal job of drawing you into a Dreamland that has twists and turns leaving you to consider whether this could possibly be a part of our own future.

Dreamland: The Fellowship of a Gunslinger is an easy, engaging read that blends western, fantasy, and sci-fi into a fun, imaginative ride. From the start, the writing is clean and accessible, making it simple to step into the story and keep moving forward.

There’s a comforting familiarity to the flow, but also enough creativity to keep things interesting. The world feels like a mix of Shadows of Brimstone, Arkham Horror, and a bit of that immersive, larger-than-life feel you’d get walking through Disneyland—with some robotics and sci-fi elements layered in.

About halfway through, the story adds more depth as character backstories and past decisions begin to shape the present. It doesn’t lose its momentum, but it does start to carry a bit more weight.

This isn’t meant to be a heavy literary work—it’s a fun, genre-blending adventure. And in that sense, it delivers exactly what it sets out to do.

In the end, it offers a handful of comfort and curiosity—familiar enough to feel easy, but creative enough to keep you turning the page.

I really liked this book by the end of it. It starts a little slow, like most books do. By the mid point you will be hooked. The characters are well thought out. I can’t wait for book 2, the ending of book 1 is a good cliffhanger. Long live the gunslingers, Long live Sam.
