I couldn't stop listening, it constantly had you guessing, full of humor, mystery, adventure, and that longing romance. Well worth time and credit.

Absolutely a fantastic adventure!!

While I was not fond of the narrator, her voice was kind of annoying, tried to be too sultry throughout the entire reading, which made it hard to listen to, but the story itself is what made me listen to it all the way through. I truly enjoyed the story all the gods and the mythical creatures and magic. It was fun and interesting and I listen to all the books back to back. 😁

Was a great adventure. Slow burn romance, with 2 possible love interests. A bit confusing at time if you aren't paying close attention. Lots of action & suspense. Was a little different from what I normally read but I really enjoyed it.

very interesting book.

This was really good series! I had trouble with the second book (I found it a bit draggy) but as a whole it was really enjoyable. One thing I found super annoying was the fact that when Ruby had valid concerns, questions and/or complaints multiple characters repeatedly dismissed her as being "whiny." Admittedly that was occasionally true but more often than not it just came across as dismissive and vaguely demeaning. Other than that I really liked this series. Wally was most definitely the best character!

Mostly Really Good!

Until now, my favorite books by this author have been the standalone campy shifter books (Kodiak Point and Lion’s Pride series, especially). They’re fun and sexy. But, I had so much fun with this urban fantasy that this may top the list. It felt like MIB (but with cryptids) meets a Scooby squad (with Buffy snark dialed to eleven) and with a Deadpool level of raunch. Even though there’s occasional F bombs, more than occasional sex jokes, and definite comic book levels of violence (including some very explodey messes), there’s really only one not very detailed sex scene in the third book. The backseat for romance, however, let the adventure and the fantasy shine.

There’s some small crossovers with Earth’s Magic, a series that I may need to give a second chance to (may have been thrown off by the lack of sexy times). This little trilogy stands alone, however, and is a great popcorn listen.

Pulpy popcorn goodness
