By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible.” —Hebrews 11:1-3 ESV The part that reads “the universe was created by the word of God…” causes me to reflect on my own beliefs about faith and science. I have never thought that there is a conflict between the two. To me, I don’t think we know everything there is to know about science and the way the universe works. We continue to learn day by day about those things. And because we lack a complete understanding of science, we proceed by faith.
