I absolutely love AK Landow. She’s my favorite rom-com author, and I’ll read anything she writes. This book is no exception. Funny, quirky, and clever, Faking the Book Boyfriend will make you swoon all over the place. It’s the best instalove book I’ve ever read. So well done!

Loved the narrators too. Stephanie Rose is a gem!

I forgot how much banter, wittiness, and sassiness was in this story line. Putting this on audio is pure genius. You will be laughing so hard. AK is known for her comedic banter and her “raunch” ways.

After one night of fun, a few author friends decide to build a fake book boyfriend service. This would provide men the tools to make the ladies swoon.
Enter Gemma and Trey. She’s a lawyer by day and author by night. Trey is a well known baseball player for the NY Bombers pretending to be a plumber. He wants women to fall in love for him and not his status. She coaches him, but little does she know that he’s fell so hard for her from the first time they met. The shenanigans that follow will having you rolling on the floor. They are also down right hot!

Of course we get all the tropes insta-love, he falls first, he pierces himself for her. There are a few hurdles. Like the fact that he’s hiding his identity. There is some tension towards the end of the book, but I’m glad they figured it out.
Trey is downright swoony. He took care of Gemma in ways she hadn’t experienced before. Now let’s talk about granny Jane. That woman is a riot. She will have you laughing so hard.

The audiobook was narrated by Stephanie Rose and Tim Paige. I must say this was a great choice for them. The characterizations, the emotions, the banter were all on point when it came down to their narrations. Great listen on audio highly recommend.
