She thought she was in control. She thought she knew the man she loved. She was wrong.

Tess Prescott arrives at the Breakers Resort expecting a quiet, picture-perfect summer. Instead, she finds herself drawn to Jason Moretti—a man as magnetic as he is dangerous.

Everyone tells her to stay away.

Her family. Her friends. Even Dr. Jared Brooks, whose concern for Tess only grows as Jason's presence tightens around her life.

But Tess is convinced she sees something others don't.

Until the lies begin to surface.

Until the truth becomes impossible to ignore.

What started as a dangerous attraction quickly spirals into something far darker, as Tess finds herself trapped in a web of secrets, manipulation, and obsession she can't escape.

Because someone is watching.

Someone is controlling the narrative.

And the deeper Tess falls, the harder it becomes to tell where love ends—and where control begins.

A dark, emotionally charged psychological suspense filled with obsession, deception, and dangerous desire.

Perfect for fans of Verity, The Last Mrs. Parrish, and You.

I kept listening to book hoping it would get better however the overall plot of book was unrealistic. The characters were cliche with good guy bad guy and innocent girl. Not a book I would have normally kept listening to however hoped it would improve however situations from start to finish was unbelievable in real life.

what a waste of time. I'm pretty sure this was written by a teenage boy that thinks this kind of obsession, stalking and manipulation could actually end like this story does. Total waste of time. I think the 5 star reviews are fake.

Horrible

The performance for this story was just okay. At first, the narrator just irritated the heck out of me but I eventually got over it. I wasn’t happy about it but I moved on to finish the book. The story was a solid, good story with some points averaging above good.

I really couldn’t like any of the characters. They were all troubled in different and not so nice ways. Also had trouble with the reader, couldn’t always tell which character was talking.

Deception upon deception
