I have never read a book like this before. If was full of twists and turns and I didn't want it to end. I love how she has a safe place that will always be hers. She matures and grows over such a short period of time and I can't wait to see how the next book progresses.

this first in series was a little slow to begin with but when it did pick up I did enjoy it.

Starting out, I wasn't certain about this book, but boy did it get good quickly. It is the start of a series so there is some set up. That being said, there is plenty of action. I wasn't sure about certain characters, neither was Dominique for that matter. She is a typical teenager, completely unhappy when she is forced to move because of her parents.

That set up, I knew there was something more and something coming, but there were some freaky parts that I didn't expect at all, but completely enjoyed. I liked her protector. She did come across as a spoiled brat occasionally, but overall it was a great read. I can't wait for the next one.
