He’s no hero and just wants to run space cargo. Alien warlords want him dead - with a billion credit price on his head.

Now, every soldier with a gun and a spaceship wants to cash in on easy money, or so they think . . .

But, humans are not easy to kill, especially a battle hardened Marine warrior from Earth.

He is uncertain about where his life is going, but knows one thing - he hates the arrogance of the wealthy elite who promised the head-bounty.

And, he’ll use his brilliant strategy, clever tactics and advanced weaponry to make them pay with their precious, jewelry-studded lives if it is the last thing he does.

They thought it should be easy - after all, he’s just a human.

But they didn’t send enough war ships . . . not nearly enough war ships.

Captain Derek Hamilton will punch a rather large hole in their space fleet, just to show them how much they underestimated his battle skill and that of his elite crew.

A high-octane, action-driven, military science fiction and space opera thriller you just can’t put down, so warn your family and friends you’ll be away for the duration on an epic adventure.

Put on your battle armor and web into your ship-couch as you join Derek and his elite warrior crew on the ride of a lifetime, culminating in the exciting conclusion for Book 1 and the perfect next step for this exciting series - Galactic Rebels.

Here’s what readers say:

5 Stars – “Looking forward to the next book. I liked the way the writing flowed, and how I could see the events happening, this was a great Sci Fi read.”

5 Stars - “Classic Science Fiction. Well written and plotted with fully developed characters and nonstop action. Definitely a series worth following, and a prequel might be welcome.”

4 Stars – “A quick and enjoyable read. Light military space opera.”

4 Stars – “A strong beginning. A well crafted storyline and character development good enough to provide background even if the previous series has not been read. Solid action scenes, tempered by introspection and some soul searching. Resolution is provided for most story threads with a continuation of the primary story arc. Ends on a promise for more with a lean into the next installment.”

4 Stars – “Exciting and a fun read. Good characters studies and well written. It would have been nice to have a better back story for our hero.”

Did not like AI narration, mispronunciation of words and little emotion in story told, would have much better with a real person narrative

Really liked the story overall

The story was good but I feel like I missed something, I don't know it this book is part of a series is metioned but it refered to passed events like we should already know the history.

The Virtual reading was flat with no personality. The narrator voice didn't match the character and it made it hard to really get into the story. That Virtual might be better for a history, or biography or something else without different characters or that does need emotions to be expressed. I don't think I'd buy a book 2 for this story with Virtual voice.

Not a fan of the Virtual.

The premise of the story is ok, it may even been tolerable to listen to if... I have listened to a lot of audio books and this is hands down the absolute worst narration I have ever heard. I finally gave up with about 2 hours left. don't waste your time.

worst narration ever

The story wasn’t bad. This version of for virtual voice was horrible though. It made it hard to follow. Rather than bring you into the book and it’s characters. It felt like you were listening to somebody read at a library. And the person reading wasn’t really used to it.
