Would you consider the audio edition of First Surrender to be better than the print version?

I enjoyed both versions, the print and the audio, but normally I prefer print versions over audio just because I read faster and I want to know what is going to happen as soon as possible. With this book, though, I would have to say that I enjoyed the audio more, just because I really liked Ryan Hudson's performance.

What was one of the most memorable moments of First Surrender?

One of the most memorable moments in First Surrender for me was when Sierra got attacked in the parking garage in the beginning of the book. Up to that point, they had just been friends, but that event is what has Hayden admitting his feelings to Sierra and in my opinion sets the tone for the rest of the book.

What about Ryan Hudson’s performance did you like?

I absolutely love Ryan Hudson's voice. It is smooth and sexy and very enjoyable to listen to. I liked the way he paused in certain areas and the fact that he didn't seem to stumble over any of the words. I really enjoyed his voice and performance and hope to listen to more of his work in the future.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Hot and steamy with a side of suspense!

First Surrender is the first book in the Serafina: Sin City Series. It's a great beginning to an awesome series and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Katie Reus books are always enjoyable. This is the first book in the Sin City series, about the Serafina Hotel and it's employees. I like it. Very basic damsel in distress story, but the alpha maleness is what makes this story stand out. So smexy!

I loved everything about this book. The characters are great. What I wish was that we had gone back a little and listened to some scenes with them when they were friends. Also why he was discharged from the military. I just needed a little more here. Otherwise great as always from this author.

Wonderful read but too short!

Sierra and Hayden are buddies. (Both have more than “buddy” feelings for each other but are afraid to let on and possibly lose their friendship.) They have a long standing Thursday night date doing “buddy” things. Sierra goes to Hayden’s office to meet him and is told by a co-worker that he is gone on date. Sierra is hurt by this and leaves. She is attacked in the parking garage at work. Hayden then gets his chance to get Sierra to himself and "make his move". Being in proximity they share their feelings with each other. Ryan Hudson did a good job with the narration of this book. He did especially well with the nuances of Hayden's character. The chapters and story flowed well.
