Sunshine State trivia buff Serge A. Storms loves eliminating jerks and pests. His drug-addled partner Coleman loves cartoons. Hot stripper Sharon Rhodes loves cocaine, especially when purchased with rich dead men's money. On the other hand, there's Sean and David, who love fishing and are kind to animals - and who are about to cross paths with a suitcase filled with $5 million in stolen insurance money. Serge wants the suitcase. Sharon wants the suitcase. Coleman wants more drugs... and the suitcase. In the meantime, there's murder by gun, Space Shuttle, Barbie doll, and Levi's 501s. In other words, welcome to Tim Dorsey's Florida - where nobody gets out unscathed and untanned!

After I thoroughly wash my brain from all the mayhem in this book…. I can say “it’s definitely not boring”. It’s pretty confusing and I could stand to reread it to clear up all the details I missed , but I’m not sure I want to…

Torn review

Some books need to be heard, not read. George Wilson made this book a treat to listen to with his deadpan, nature documentary delivery punctuated by Serge’s Cliff Clavin-like recitation of Florida trivia. Bring on the next one!

Brilliantly Disturbing

What a great story! Funny as all get out and told in such an entertaining and delightful fashion.

5 out of 5

SPOILER ALERT: I can't believe Mr. Dorsey would have an important character such as Coleman killed in the first book. I hope it's all a tragic mistake and maybe it wasn't Coleman in the room at the Pelican Inn.

I love Serge and Coleman.

Tinged with a sarcastic and truthful perspective of humanity, this is a fun -albeit violent- read.

Truly funny passages
