A lesbian romance about how nourishment is so much more than the food we eat.

When Jessica Harris flies home to Australia to sort out her late brother's estate, the last thing she wants to face is his altruistic investment - an eatery on the rural Bellarine Peninsula.

The injured British/Indian elite cyclist just wants to settle up, move on, get rehab, and certainly not have to deal with the restaurant's beautiful owner and artisan foodie, Lillian McAllister, or her sweet, four-year-old daughter.

In order to win, Jessica's disciplined life is dedicated to controlling her emotions, and she isn't sure she'd survive letting her walls down now.

Contains mature themes.

I use to be a cyclist and healthy athlete until I had an accident and became partially paralyzed in 2015. Two surgeries and 6 years later I can walk and now in physical therapy. This book brought me to my memories of my own struggles in mental and physical health needed to get back.
Food has always been my passion I cook and the story goes through some of the need to connect or rebuild there lives.

Loosing everything you thought you had is challenging and hard the peace to ride and reflect and feel was how Jessica worked through a lot of it.
Discovering love is never easy and communication can be hard but I do like the way the characters learn to understand each other.
The slow realization of this was done well.

The characters could have been developed more there were hints of things and the writer touched in them lightly.
I suffer from night terrors and they can settle but not quite as easily as it’s stated in this book.
The beautiful description of the surroundings was like I could feel myself there.
I gave high marks it’s a long book and at the last 3 hours of it I did feel a little dragged. But I pushed through.
I find some of the story cut off a bit when there could have been some fun conversation with the other characters in the book.

I will keep the Author in mind when another book is done. Looking forward to reading more.

I enjoyed this story by C. Fonseca very much and I dare say a great deal of that is due largely to the wonderful narration work done by Claire Alain. The many colorful characters were brought to life through the talented Ms. Alain. I will seek out more works from this duo and any other author’s works that Ma. Alain narrates!

Good story paired with Great narrator!

This author is new to me and I can’t wait to experience more! I really loved this book. It wasn’t exactly unpredictable, however it doesn’t matter because the story, the characters, and the writing itself doesn’t need more. This book flowed along so perfectly to me. It didn’t feel forced or formulaic. I was invested in the characters and their experiences. It’s a longer book, but it didn’t feel like it to me. The narrator makes it even more enjoyable. Bravo!!

Very good!
