A Techno Thriller for Cloud Physicists

A group of scientists at the National Center for Atmospheric Research has learned that several alpine glaciers in the western US appear to be growing after retreating for 200 years. They hiked into the Arapaho Basin west of Boulder to find that the Arapaho Glacier was growing. The group extended their investigation by flying NCAR's cloud physics King Air into the mountains of Colorado and Wyoming. The investigation suggested that someone must be releasing large quantities of silver iodide to increase snowfall over the entire West. Who would do such a thing and why? Is that what's causing the glaciers to grow. Will it cause another ice age? Will it solve global warming?
