With Odewyn defeated, I had the tools needed to survive the treacherous Drowned Lands. But before embarking on that perilous journey, I had work to do: not only did I need to begin construction on my home, but I had to oversee the building of defensive fortifications for the entire city of Gillamoor. The elves were coming, and when they arrived, I wanted them to see an impenetrable fortress.

While that would certainly take up all my time, I still had plenty of work to do with helping the goblins repopulate. When it came to that, my work was nowhere near done.

Although let's be honest.... Calling it "work" was a stretch.

I’m going to say first that I love the story. The story is obviously well written, well planned and thought out. The author does a great job of not jumping around, making it easy to follow the plot as if you are the MC. However, if you’re reading this book thinking the action will be as well written as the spicy stuff you’re wrong. Don’t get me wrong, I think the action is a solid 7/10 but mannn authors need to understand that realism in fight scenes is a great thing to have. As well as magical elements, that the author does include to make the scene great. But brotha man.. SPOILERS…. If a beast the size of an elephant that can move with surprising speed took an arrow to the head and lived, that fucker would not be getting up slowly.
Overall though, this was a great listen. Would recommend.

💙💙💙💙💙I hope there are more books to come in this series! The MC is great along with a really good supporting cast! The story is captivating! The narrators also do a good job of bringing the story to life! Great job Micky Carre!

This series just keeps getting better and better. Fueled by a great story, relatable characters and an outstanding voice cast that vividly brings those characters to life, what's not to love? Do yourself a favor and pick this one up ASAP!
