Here Osho exposes the belief in God as a mere projection of the mind, a game we play with ourselves in order to avoid responsibility. We do according to god rather than being according to our self. So long as god is we are not. So long as god decides we don’t. Only by seeing the trap of our belief in god are we free from god and free to be ourselves.©1984 OSHO International Foundation (P)2015 OSHO International Foundation Personal Development Personal Success Motivation & Self-Improvement Career Success

Like many of Osho's speeches this one has a slow start but ends with a bang. Osho starts off by making a great point that the people of the Abrahamic faiths would recognize: that at the end of creation God rested on the seventh day and Osho takes this literally that God finished creation and has been resting ever since. He makes the argument that man was not created in the image of God rather God was created in the image of man. This is such a profound statement I will say it again God was created in the image of man. Osho goes on to point out that when a Hindu sees God he sees Shiva and when a Christian sees God he sees Jesus but never the other way around. If God never shows himself as Shiva to a Christian than it begs the question are these visions coming from the mind of the supplicant? It's not necessarily that God is not real but perhaps he is not what we have been told? This talk raises many questions and these questions are a good thing that can help deprogram someone that has been told what to believe from childhood.

Osho asks the big questions in this one!
