This book wrung me out emotionally. Every time something hateful was said to Gizelle, my heart hurt for her. That's the sign of a great author and un-put-downable book. When Killian's eyes are opened, he's a whole new man. Every time he would do something to help Gizelle out, I expected the blast and animosity, but her responses to it were never what I expected, AND I LOVE THAT! I listened to this on Audible, and while I prefer 2 narrators for the genders, Tim Paige did a great job.
