Red Rising hit the ground running and wasted no time becoming a sensation. Golden Son continues the stunning saga of Darrow, a rebel forged by tragedy, battling to lead his oppressed people to freedom.

Adapted from the novel and produced with a full cast of actors, immersive sound effects and cinematic music!

As a Red, Darrow grew up working the mines deep beneath the surface of Mars, enduring backbreaking labor while dreaming of the better future he was building for his descendants. But the Society he faithfully served was built on lies. Darrow’s kind have been betrayed and denied by their elitist masters, the Golds—and their only path to liberation is revolution. And so Darrow sacrifices himself in the name of the greater good for which Eo, his true love and inspiration, laid down her own life. He becomes a Gold, infiltrating their privileged realm so that he can destroy it from within.

A lamb among wolves in a cruel world, Darrow finds friendship, respect, and even love—but also the wrath of powerful rivals. To wage and win the war that will change humankind’s destiny, Darrow must confront the treachery arrayed against him, overcome his all-too-human desire for retribution—and strive not for violent revolt but a hopeful rebirth. Though the road ahead is fraught with danger and deceit, Darrow must choose to follow Eo’s principles of love and justice to free his people.

He must live for more.

I've read a lot of science fiction and fantasy and this tops them all. It's very intelligently written, unpredictable and you become deeply invested in the characters. It's fast-paced and, considering it's science fiction, it's believable; it's set in our universe and it's limitations of space and time are honoured, what the futuristic weapons can do remains consistent throughout the series and the thoughts and desicions the characters make feel logic and realistic.
I appreciate that the series is mostly written from the main character's point of view so you're very invested.
I love the performance by Tim Gerard Reynolds though the performances and sound effects by graphic audio support the story very well and bring it to life even more.
The only downside is that now I've read this almost every other book I've read after is kinda...mweh.

Intelligent, fast paced and deeply moving sci-fi

I enjoy the dramatized versions of the series, but prefer Tim Gerard Reynolds narration better. The voice actors in this version sound like they are simply reading a script. No humor and cleverness from Sevro and the Howlers, no coyness from Mustang, and many of the voice actors sound middle-aged and older even though the characters are around 20. TRG really brings the characters to life, full of charm, wit, humor, and rage. Not a fan of the voices of Sevro, Aja, Victra, or the Jackal. I highly recommend the audiobooks! They won’t disappoint!

Love the series! But I enjoy TRG’s narration better.

This book for one is fantastic, great writing, setting, plot, characters etc…. But the narration, the music, the sounds, sound effects take this book to another level. I have never been so immersed in a book let alone an audio book than I have with this one. Such incredible work. I cannot express it enough.

The Narration

I love this book series! If you have trouble with the narrator of this series, try the full cast. They really bring the story to life in a way the original narrator could not.

The cast performance is fabs!!

Golden Son: Part One in GraphicAudio form is nothing short of masterful. From the very beginning, the story grips you with a sense of urgency and escalating stakes that never let go. This is where Pierce Brown’s narrative truly sharpens, becoming more complex, more dangerous, and far more unpredictable.

The storytelling is exceptional. Every scene feels deliberate, layered with meaning, and charged with consequence. Darrow is no longer just surviving. He is navigating a deadly political arena where power, perception, and timing are everything. The tension builds steadily, and you can feel that something massive is always just around the corner.

The dialogue is one of the standout elements in this production. It is sharp, intelligent, and emotionally loaded. Conversations are not just exchanges. They are battles. Every word carries weight, whether it is strategy, manipulation, or raw emotion. The voice actors deliver these moments flawlessly, giving each character a distinct presence and making every interaction feel real and impactful.

GraphicAudio once again elevates the experience with immersive sound design and a full cast that brings depth to the expanding world. The scale feels bigger, the stakes feel higher, and the consequences feel heavier.

This is storytelling at a high level. Tense, gripping, and brilliantly executed. An incredible continuation that proves Golden Son is operating on an entirely different level.

Tension Rising, Storytelling at Its Peak!
