Rediscover the modern classic that launched the career of the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Mrs. Everything and Big Summer with this beautiful anniversary edition of her “contemporary Cinderella tale told with intelligence, wit, and style” (Susan Isaacs, New York Times bestselling author).

For twenty-eight years, things have been tripping along nicely for Cannie Shapiro. Sure, her mother has come charging out of the closet, and her father has long since dropped out of her world. But she loves her friends, her rat terrier, and her job as pop culture reporter for The Philadelphia Examiner. She’s finally even made a tenuous peace with her plus-size body.

But when she opens up a national women’s magazine and sees the words “Loving a Larger Woman” above her ex-boyfriend’s byline, Cannie is plunged into misery…and the most amazing year of her life. From Philadelphia to Hollywood and back home again, she charts a new course for herself: mourning her losses, facing her past, and figuring out who she is and who she can become.

An unforgettable novel full of charm and heart, “Good In Bed offers a sensitive telling of a life familiar to many and a humorous take on how the struggle can end in joy” (Associated Press).

This was my 2nd Jennifer Weiner read. I loved the story, as I'm a bigger woman myself. However, I thought the story was a bit boring in parts, and dragged on in others. However, overall, the story was altogether good and exciting.

My only complaint was the reader. Her deep voice and characterizations weren't really something that went with the story. It was almost stereotypical, and seems as though they were indicating that all "bigger" women have masculine voices.

Great, Real, and Inspiring Story

Hard to put down. The book conjures up feelings we have all had at one time or other. Our insecurities, our families, our view of the world, not sugar coated. At the same time it's funny and honest. Not my typical genre but so glad I picked it up.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one

Wow! I was wrong to think that this was a light hearted read.. while I did enjoy the sarcasm, you could feel the pain it covered. Some of the surreal moments lighted things up a bit but really this book is VERY emotional. real life.

all the feels. .

I really loved this book and the narrator did a fabulous job with the characters. I could really relate to a lot of what Canny was feeling about herself and her circumstances. I highly recommend listening to this one!

Unexpectedly a fabulous book
