The Matches Which Built and Crippled an Industry

Frank Gotch turned pro wrestling from a fringe spectacle to one of the most popular spectator sports. Still, it took Gotch three years to lure undefeated World Champion George Hackenschmidt to the United States for a title defense.

The result was two controversial but legitimate wrestling matches, whose effects were felt for the next two decades.

I honestly was hoping this book was a little bit longer once I got into it, but it was really only about a short time frame in the early wrestling days. Well worth the listen though! The author paints a good picture of these wrestlers emotions and backgrounds going into the contest.

Very interesting story!

This was a waste of time and money. I downloaded this the game was going to get a book about Hack and Gotcj, in other big price fight of the era. It's barely an hour long. If you've heard any other other audio book about hack thank God you for everything this book has to say
