Audra Copeland is among dozens of newly convicted felons dropped off on the prison planet Rhodon, where she discovers that the women of zone four have a long-standing arrangement with the men. If they hand over six of the new arrivals, the men won't raid. And Audra has just been drafted.

She can take her chances on her own, or select a guardian. The deal is simple, if barbaric: sex, in exchange for food and safety from the other 200 men in zone four. It's a terrifying proposal. The men are violent, filthy degenerates.

Then Audra sees Tyson at the edge of the crowd. A hulking, scarred figure, the other men call him a savage, but his clothes are clean, and he's holding a freshly caught rabbit. He can clearly protect what's his.

As compassionate as he is powerful, Tyson ignites something fierce in Audra, and their connection is white-hot. The problem? Every 30 days, she'll have to pick a new guardian.

Now that he's found Audra, Ty has every intention of keeping her for himself. Even if he has to destroy the fragile zone four peace treaty to do it.

Contains mature themes.

I have no idea why this series doesn’t have more reviews! The only thing I can think is that it hasn’t gotten enough exposure. I haven’t found another series quit like it but it’s full of action and each book so far has had a great plot. The lead females are all strong and willing to do what it takes to survive while the lead males are the best combo of hot alpha protectors and lovers! Miss Chandler has also manage to find a way to give us all the connection to her characters that a good slow burn does without making us wait for the hot and heavy bedroom action… And the steamy parts continue to get hotter and hotter as the story goes on (something I feel like a lot of authors struggle with) and they never feel redundant or get boring! 🔥🔥🔥 Another thing I consider a huge bonus is each ending gives you the best balance of a happy ending while still leaving you with enough of a cliff hanger (what happened to our favorite supporting characters?) to leave you completely satisfied while still craving so much more! I hope to see more audible listens from this author in the future!!!

Fantastic series! 🔥

Enjoyed the sci fi plot - wasn’t really dark romance from my perspective but enjoyed it. World building takes time and it was described with great detail! It would have been a great book without the psychological and social melodrama the characters were experiencing. How would they react while they analyzed right vs wrong 😑 These parts of the novel were prolonged and lacked substance since so little was known about their origins. OK read, kept me entertained until the end.

Interesting plot

I was intrigued by the description and the book was even better. Strong characters in the worst scenarios possible. Loved the narrators! They did a good job. Pop Looking forward to the next book in series.

Worth reading!

This is a captivating, thrilling story. It was interesting when the author introduced the theme of moral relativism. Are Right and Wrong finite and fixed? Always the same everywhere? Or are Right and Wrong relative to the cultural norms and moral code of their specific society?

Except… this is not a Sociology 101 textbook! It’s a dark sci-fi romance. IMHO. the author was a little too in love with the idea of pushing a debate about morality onto her readers. Her characters spent entirely too much time in intellectual discussions about the ethics of Right and Wrong. Yawn! Eye roll. 🥱🙄

The narration was great.

Heavy handed
