It's 2012, the year the world is supposed to end, but no one expected this. An infection spreads through New York's Hudson Valley. The government tells us it is just the flu, but people are turning into crazed killers. Can it be stopped?

Follow the story from the first days of infection, to the last days of civilization, as told by Dr. Rebecca Truesdale, aka, "Becks." Becks is smart and tough, and while she searches for a cure in the lab, she has to fight for her life in the streets.

The first couple hours are a trudge that reminded me of Steven King novels a great deal but at a certain point everything started to come together into a real story instead of the science publication it felt like it was going to be. The story was good and well worth the read. As for the narrator, she wasn’t bad but she must have been new because the book read more like reading a report. There wasn’t a lot of voice inflection to draw one into the narrative so during time when less dramatic or intense scenes were playing out there were sometimes a habit to fall into monotones. The story was definitely good enough to get through those times so I hope everyone gives it a chance. I enjoyed it,
