This book aims to introduce you to the fundamental topics and jargon you will encounter in the world of biomedical ultrasound. It is intended to be a brief, accessible resource for audiences with only very little experience with ultrasound (or perhaps with none at all).

Whether you intend to listen to the book in one sitting or to consult it occasionally to refer to something specific, it is a perfect way to start thinking about clinical innovation using the capabilities of sound.

This book was written for the clinician that is interested in understanding sonography on a deeper level. As someone who has no medical background, it let me behind in minutes. I’m interested in learning about the career of a sonographer and hoped this book would give me a good groundwork. But I felt like it fell short of that, big time.

The author throws out a ton of jargon with no explanation, and really goes into the science of how the technology works, as opposed to introducing you to implement basic knowledge and practices.

If you’re a clinician who wants to learn more, this is for you! If you’re a “normie” investigating a potential career change, this is a waist of money.
