From New York Times Bestselling Author Catherine Bybee comes the long-awaited next installment in her MacCoinnich Time Travel Series.

No ordinary hero can save Amber from death…it will take a Highland Protector.

Amber MacCoinnich's survival depends on her traveling to the twenty first century, or so her mother’s premonition told her. Death taunts Amber and offers peace in her endless pain. Without the mysterious savior her mother spoke of, Amber prepares for death only to wake with a handsome, dark stranger in her bed.

Gavin Kincaid spends his life shifting time in order to preserve and protect the MacCoinnich family and their line even though he’s never met one living MacCoinnich. A haunting portrait of a beautiful woman captures his attention and he embarks on a quest to put a name to the picture. When a colleague vanishes, the time-stream forces Kincaid to the twenty first century where he finds his mystifying woman close to death. His Druid gift can save her, but at what price? And when they both find themselves emotionally linked, the truth behind Kincaid’s heritage just might kill them both.

This book was great. I think it's pretty crappy of this author to leave a cliffhanger and not finish the series. It seems she had plenty of time to write several other books and start new series since. What a way to treat your fans.

Annoyed!

Okay I just finished the series up this this cliffhanger! Ugh. If you listen to books like me, (I listen to a book a day) depending on length; I was fascinated and drawn in from book one. Loved the characters and storyline. Halfway through book 5 I realized there is a book 6, only to my dismay that it is not available, only says coming soon on the authors website. OMG look at the release dates. It’s almost 5 years ? Is that a sign that we will never get the answers? With that being said the series is worth the listen if you can handle what may be a long wait for the final book. I loved the books and narrator was great although his female voices need a lot of help but can be overlooked due to great story.

Book #6 !!

This book ends in a serious cliffhanger. This is book 5 in at least a 6 book series. It's been 3 years since this
book was published, with no ETA on the (hopefully) final installment. I've loved the series, but unless you are okay with lots of unresolved issues, I would postpone reading this series until an end is in sight...except for the frustration of the lack of an ending, this is an excellent series.

Cliffhanger....

I liked the many twist and turn the story has. It is unpredictable. It is intriguing and engaging. It kept me wanting to listen instead of sleeping. The heroine Amber is growing into a powerful Druit and the hero, Gavin is all a woman could hope for as a partner and lover. I liked the the sex scenes were tastefully done. The narrators did a good job as well.

Very diverting
