A Highlander’s wounded heart calls to her...across time. For all fans of Outlander!

Fleeing a man in a Scottish castle, American Kate Anderson tumbles into the dungeon. Striking her head, she suffers amnesia and is sent back in time to 1308, where she’s rescued by a Highland warrior.

Escaped slave Ian Cambel takes Kate to his estate. But as her memories flood back, she’s driven to return to the 21st century. Helping Kate leave means fighting the invading English troops - and losing a piece of his heart. Will the peace-seeking former gladiator battle his demons and the enemy for a doomed love?

Narrated by the award-winning narrator, Audie finalist, and Earphones for Excellence in Narration winner Shane East, along with Emma Wilder, a classically trained actor and narrator who has worked all over the world on everything from steamy romance novels to Shakespeare.

I wish there had been a warning that this was not a clean read.

Really enjoyed it however the fairy Shenaka? Was hardly mentioned as in the last few books. She was funny.

The two narrators were great

Another good story I can't wait until I read the next one in the series.

This story will capture your heart. It’s a story of healing and a beautiful love story. The author weaves many thought provoking moments into the story line, which I truly enjoyed. Emma Wilder performed her characters voices more authentically for this story, than in book two. She delivered her words with good and appropriate emotion. My disappointment once again is with the male narrator, Shane East. He cannot perform two men speaking with a Scottish accident to save his life. He really needs to hire a dialect coach or listen to Tim Campbell all day for a year. I wish this story had been narrated by Tim Campbell instead. Shane East fails at making his characters sound sexy and really does an over kill on any intense moments where a character is angry.
I do recommend this audiobook for the beautiful story. Thankfully Ms.Wilder does most of the narrating in this story.

Meaningful and exciting

Would prefer they take on their gender roles. Love them both however just like Duke on a Train would prefer the exchange.
