the connection feels really empty/ false. would have liked more of a slow build. I really enjoyed the spider mate trilogy because the realtionship despite being alien seemed so real. while the Sophie's story is raw and real, I disliked how the realtionship she had with the forest spirit. ot fel very empty, and primal in a bad way. I'm all for fans and mystery, but the forest spirit seems to lack depth. honestly couldn't get through the whole book because I felt so bired/ unmotivated for their realtihionship

I had a hard time getting into this one. Voice acting was hard to take seriously, cringed a few times. Has a beginning middle and end (probably) couldn’t finish it. Maybe ill try a different book from her

I wish this book was longer Cruce is a dynamic character, it would be nice to learn more about him. Josephine wasn’t the brightest bean but she is likable.

I like the story overall.One of the most important things with audio books,which in my opinion is a crucial part,is the performance of the narrator.He did amazing job of capturing the essence of the characters.When I heard the "shadow" creatures voice for the first time, I was like whoa where did that come from all of a sudden..lol. This was throughly enjoyed 😉
