Between the valiant kingdoms of the western Realms and the exotic eastern lands of Kara-Tur lies a vast, unexplored kingdom. For centuries, the "civilized" peoples of the Forgotten Realms have given little notice to these barbarians. Now, a powerful leader has united the wild horsemen into a mighty force - an army powerful enough to challenge the world.

...from back when I first read this 25 years ago. I was excited to see this title in Audible and find this trilogy a fun flight of fantasy.

Just as enjoyable from back...

It was okay. Characters were so so. Pretty thin. Same with the story. Narrator was barely okay.

Just okay...

it was a good story but I was surprised that it was a Forgotten Relams novel it didn't have the forgotten relams feeling to it but all in all it was a good book.

What would have made Horselords better?

I felt like I was in a running nightmare and my legs kept getting heavier and heavier. The faster I ran the slower I went. This was painfully slow. It was like a soap opera, you could miss a week’s worth of watching and feel like you didn’t miss anything.

The book was full of continuous superfluous descriptions of wardrobe, facial expressions, and descriptions, but lacked any depth of character definition or complexity of plot. There was very little plot, action, suspense, and very little of the D&D experience.

What do you think your next listen will be?

Not the next book in the series

What does Robin Bloodworth bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does a good job

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Horselords?

Not cut anything just reworked

Any additional comments?

It had potential but failed

Painful
