Ingredients: One seriously hot chef for a boss plus one sassy employee who always says what's on her mind equals a sexy and flirty romance about trying to resist the irresistible....

Finn King. He's sexy, single, successful, and hotter than anything that comes out of his kitchen. His focus lies on the perfection of his food and becoming a celebrity chef. Women and love aren't on his list of priorities until in walks Hailee with her smart mouth and flaming red hair. She challenges him at every turn, and he just can't get enough of it.

Hailee Ferris doesn't believe in fairy tales or happily ever afters. She learned that the hard way a long time ago. All she wants is to save up enough money to move away from the small town she's felt trapped in her whole life. When she lies to get the job at Finn's restaurant, the one thing she wasn't counting on was falling for her boss.

When one accidental kiss turns their worlds upside down, cooking isn't the only thing heating up the kitchen....

Finn, Deans brother, is a chef at an upscale restaurant. He’s good at what he does! When he hears Hailey deconstruct a dish just by tasting it... he hires her to help him with his other pursuits.

Hailey was hired to be the hostess at his restaurant, but she lied to get the job. She meets Finn, not knowing he’s the chef... and tells him she lied to get a job... oops.

Their story is funny and sweet.. but complicated in ways you have to hear to understand! It’s worth your time!! Buy it and listen!

Alan Taylor is a new voice for me. His voice is smooth and pleasant.. I’d listen to him again!

This was so good!!

As a foodie, I loved the descriptions of the food- it made me hungry and did a fantastic job building the background of the story. Finn is a chef of a very popular, fine dining restaurant. He hires Hailee even thought she has no experience because, well, it’s insta-lust/love. They get closer because of their affinity for food and flavors. There’s cute banter and a lot of push and pull- mostly because Hailee was hurt before and scared of getting hurt more. How will Finn be able to get past her walls to achieve their HEA? As with the first story (where Finn's brother was featured), the push and pull got a little repetitive and a bit irritating. However, generally, this was a sweet book and I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. While this is book 2 in the series, you can read this as a standalone.

Alan Taylor has a nice smooth voice with good differentiation between characters. he did a good job playing Hailee too. However, since it is a dual pov it would have been better to have a male and female narrator.

Sexy chef and sassy hostess. The chemistry is intense and from first sight. She is scared and resisting the chemistry. He know what he wants and plans to get it. Enjoyed getting to know them.

I liked this book. The h is a little sassy and fun, and the H is a sexy chef, need i say more. The book for me was enjoyable. There were moments when it was a little hard to connect, but the overall flow was good. I need a sexy chef in my life!!! The narration was good. #audiobookobsession

Narrator did a good job. He did a good job for both main characters; a little slow at times, but overall, a good clear listening experience.

Sweet connection between Finn and Hailee in this one. This book takes place at the same time as the first book, but can be read as a stand-alone. Hailee has had poor taste in men and is tired of her hometown, so she fibs some to get a hostess job at a fancy restaurant to make some money to get out of town. Finn is the chef at the restaurant. The two have a bit of a meet cute, but try to deny their feelings because he’s her boss. Hailee knows very little about her job and food, so Finn helps her out and they grow closer. Unfortunately, Hailee is a scaredy cat about relationships, so she acts like a brat a lot. That got annoying at times; Finn was always putting himself out there and she would just be rude. She creates the problems for herself; I get she had some heartbreak in the past, but it’s so obvious Finn is legit. I liked her okay, but not a huge fan. Finn is awesome and so respectful, so I was all on board for him to find his happiness. They do have some good chemistry and passion, so I was rooting for them. Overall, an entertaining story. I also loved getting a bit more story for Emma and Dean from the first book. I’m not a huge fan of the premise for the next book or the characters, but I’d still like to check it out. So far, this series has been great!
