This book is especially helpful for those who are unsure about the way they are praying. Like, how do you even begin and how to end.

Although I have always been a believer in God and have always prayed, until recently I've never read a book on the topic. After reading a few books by a few. pastors I'm familiar with, I must say this book actually answered the "How - To". I 've never heard of the pastor of this book, but was drawn in to the first edition by the reviews, and decided to give this newer edition a listen. I'm glad I did.

There is a point that I'm not 100% in agreement with him. It is that you "should not pray" if you are not right in your relationships, (family, friends, coworkers, etc) until they are made right. I feel this a time when "praying through it" is in order. Praying to God to help you overcome and allign with his word. I feel that some may need strength and guidance from the Lord to help the overcome the situation, because they can't do it alone.. They need the help of the Lord to help them see things from a different perspective which could lead to forgiveness. If not, they may never even begin to pray.

However, I do understand what scripture says about forgiveness. And ultimately, we have to come to God with a clean heart, and I believe that prayer helps reach that point.

Overall, this is a good book on how to pray. I really enjoyed it.
