The information on writing poetry is so absent as to surely frustrate any beginner. The only chapter on composing basically tells you to go slow for about 3 hours avoiding cliche words and using creative words referencing the five senses. No explanation or examples on what is cliche and what is creative. And they say to establish a rhythm but give no explanation as to what rhythm is, much less how to do it.

Outside of composing, they say to establish a goal but give no process on how to do that...just do it in an hour.

I can't see how this would be any help to a beginner.

No information on actually composing poetry.

Too simplistic, and a scant amount of information in a very short amount of time. Truly for beginners - perhaps of high school age. "You get what you pay for. " ( use of a cliche - a no, no in poetry) : )

Not what I had hoped for....
