Like I’m sitting here genuinely wondering what I’m supposed to do with my life now because I cannot move on. I cannot stop thinking about them. This is it — this book is my entire personality for the foreseeable future.
What surprised me most about Vaughn and Yulian’s story is how beautiful and sweet it is. Yes, they come from powerful Bratva families and carry those expectations, but at its core, this is a story about two people who were always meant for each other.
The yearning and pining in this story is on another level. It just builds and builds— it’s signature Rina at her absolute best.
We’re talking years of it, and you feel every moment. There’s such a strong “it was always you” thread running through their relationship, and it makes everything hit that much harder and deeper.
They are truly two sides of the same coin. Always thinking about each other, shaping their lives around each other in quiet ways, and even through misunderstandings, that connection never breaks.
And the thing is… Vaughn tries to fight it. The denial, the “we shouldn’t,” the distance — but Yulian? He is the inevitability. It was always going to be him.
Yulian completely broke my heart. Everything he has endured through no fault of his own is devastating, and yet the way he loves is so pure.
The audiobook elevates this story in a way that’s hard to put into words.
This cast is God tier.
Grayson Owens and Teddy Hamilton deliver performances that are honestly unforgettable. The emotion they bring, the intensity, the vulnerability — they don’t just narrate the story, they make you feel it. Their chemistry is incredible, and the way they bring both the vulnerability and tension between Vaughn and Yulian to life makes this feel so real. There were moments where it physically hurt to listen because of how deeply they pulled you in.
The supporting cast only elevates it further. Sebastian York and Brooke Daniels returning as Kirill and Sasha was iconic, Rose Dioro delivers across multiple roles seamlessly, Austin Stone adds depth, and Shane East reprising Brandon was the perfect touch - together they add even more depth, each brining distinct voices and presence that make this true audio play territiory.
This is the kind of performance that reminds you how powerful audiobooks can be. That’s how you know you’re listening to something special.

If you’ve been waiting for this story (especially after Kirill & Sasha ), you are going to eat this up. And we get the return of the Heathens — Jeremy, Killian, Nikolai, Brandon… yeah no, I lost my mind.
I’m not spoiling anything because you need to experience this for yourself, but yeah… I’m not recovering from this anytime soon. And the way Rina ties this together… I honestly didn’t know how she was going to do it, but in true Rina fashion she served us.
Vaughn and Yulian live in my soul. I’m obsessed. I’m not moving on. That’s it. infinity stars! 10/10 highly recommend to be emotionally damaged again.

I absolutely loved both Vaughn & Yulian from the start and I love having those glimpse to 4 years ago between them as well. The pull these two feel is so undeniable, but that doesn’t make things easy for them at all, especially in their world. The tension between them is thick, but when those hints of vulnerability start to peek through, I was done for. This is angsty, emotional, and these two are obsessed with each other && I’m obsessed with them!
