As a guardian for his colony, Julian Sawyer travels to Earth to bring back the Chosen: women who possess energy potent enough to help revitalize his people. The stunning, silver-clad beauty who strides into his club one night radiates a sensual magnetism unlike any he's encountered, and Julian realizes that Asia Callahan is not just Chosen, she is his kindra: his one true mate.

For months, Asia has tracked the beautiful and mysterious Julian across the country, convinced that he's behind the disappearance of her sister and a dozen other women. She's prepared to believe he's a ruthless killer, but when she presents herself as bait, she discovers that the truth is far more shocking. Taken to a strange, hazardous realm she never knew existed, Asia will face the ultimate choice-between abandoning the life she's always known and forsaking a passion as dangerous as it is powerful.

It was totally different from any book I've ever read. It did take a long time for Asia to come around. She was, after all, from earth AND a tough bounty hunter so I can understand a little of what she might be going through. However, she was really selfish in not seeming to care that Julian's people were dieing and she could help but didn't seem to want to do anything about it. Over all, a really good story. If it hadn't taken so long for her to begin to care about the people it would have been a five star.

Ms. Sands did a terriific job.

A really good read/listen..

It was an enjoyable story and yes the heroine was ridiculously stubborn but I understood it. To expect her to just accept things taken out of her control is unrealistic. She was a strong self sufficient woman who was not a mind reader and was reacting from a level of a bounty hunter. It ended faster than I expected.

Enjoyable Story

Great twists but predictable. Still had a good storyline. I appreciated the ending being a little different.

Where does Hunting Julian rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

An interesting Paranormal Romance title. I would be interested in continuing the series.

What other book might you compare Hunting Julian to and why?

Black Dagger Brotherhood or Lords of the Underworld, but with hot aliens.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I liked that the narrator conveyed emotions convincingly. You could really feel rage and the tremor in a character's voice.

The narrator sounded too feminine for the male voices, but that is alright because her timing was impeccable as well as her tone.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I got a bit flustered and almost teared up at times.

Any additional comments?

This is a surprisingly satisfying and interesting first book of a series. No stone was left unturned and I finished it with an immense sense of achievement and satisfaction. The protagonist is a strong, independent woman and I love books like these.

Surprisingly Exciting!
