Story line kept you guessing and wanting more. Not sure if the “jabs” to “conservatives” and pushing an agenda was needed to keep the story going or served much point to the book. Overall, great listen

Not sure what I expected, but this story well written and very riveting. 2 stories at once are told, her past and her present. It tells Where's she came from and how she got to where she is, but it all ties in with her present.

The narration was positively awesome. I was able to tell the characters apart easily. Great job!

This was a great story with a happy ending for most and a tragic ending for some. This story is about friendship, heart ache, trauma, love, and strong independent woman.

Hurt for Me by Heather Levy pulled me in right from the start until the end thanks to Ava Lucas’ amazing narration in bringing Rae’s story to life. She was able to capture all of Rae’s emotions throughout this book without missing a beat. There were a few gut wrenching moments that hurt my heart just like it did Rae’s. Getting to follow Rae’s journey in two different timelines…her younger self and as an adult was very powerful and I enjoyed her relationships with those who truly loved and supported her unconditionally. What a gritty story that will give you all the feels.

Hurt for me is a very interesting book. Lots of twists and turns I did not see coming. I feel it's more of a suspense book with a touch of romance. CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS!!! Some parts were hard for me because it involved children but unfortunately it's a reality. The book had a slow start but it built the suspense up. I would recommend this book if you can handle the trigger warnings.
