Hush Girl was an enthralling read. Gloria Zachgo creates a fragile, seemingly powerless central character who draws you into her struggles as she works through the trauma of her past. The character development is extremely well done, producing realistic and believable conflict. The suspense builds throughout Hush Girl, capturing your emotions in every chapter, drawing you into the story with periodic emotional relief. My wife, my adult daughter, and I listened together and did not want to turn it off until the end. Good read.
