He's mine.... Don't ever forget that.

Milo lives in the barn, a cowboy through and through.

I live in a castle, but I'm not a princess.

When the only person who loves me dies, Milo's there.

As I get older, I no longer look at Milo like a big brother. I look at him like the man God made just for me.

With the first glimpse of freedom from my pathetic excuse for a father, I imagine a future with Milo. I dream of the day when we won't have to hide our feelings.

But Milo has a secret. He is not free.

The man I love is marrying the woman I hate.

Indie has no self-worth. Unfortunately, I like Jewel's writing, but I usually hate or am annoyed by her characters. But, I do it to myself every time...I enjoy her stories, they're intriguing - I just get so irritated, she has me all up in my feelings. Some people would call Indi's feelings love, I call it desperation. She is so hung up on 'Milo the Monster', that she wastes her time & life. And allows herself to constantly be mistreated and abused by her so called 'family'. I get it. she was immature, and became all of their door mat, including Milo's. I was hoping that she would leave and exact the best revenge on everyone...peace of mind, success, love & happiness. She should've just let Milo (spineless ass) marinate in the life he chose...it was the decision that he made - good, bad, or indifferent. But, she pretty much remained desperate the whole book. I felt sorry for them both in the beginning, but by the end of the book, I hated Indie & Milo.

Narration was good, not duet, but both characters were at least told in 1st person POV. And the narrators were great, especially Meg Sylvan.

So Frustrating 😖 Indie is so Pathetic
