Turning fifty was supposed to come with wisdom — not chin hairs, brain fog, and a body staging a quiet rebellion.

Marie thought she had life figured out: a marriage coasting along, a grown son making his own mistakes, and just enough control to keep the chaos at bay. Then came the hot flashes, the mood swings, and the late-night Google searches convincing her she might actually be losing it.

I’m 50 Now is a brutally honest, laugh-out-loud story about what happens when your hormones hijack your body, your identity feels MIA, and midlife forces you to confront every version of yourself — the one you miss, the one you’re becoming, and the one you swore you’d never be.

If you’ve ever cried over a yogurt commercial, cursed your shrinking jeans, or wondered when your body filed for divorce and forgot to send the paperwork — this book is for you.

Raw, relatable, and packed with humor, I’m 50 Now proves you’re not broken — you’re just evolving, one rogue chin hair at a time.

I'm 50 Welcome to the Full-Body Betrayal. A subject that happens to everyone eventually. This is a funny story told from a female perspective and highlights the effects of turning 50 more specifically on the female body which changes a little differently then a man. I would imagine every person faces their own challenges at 50, and it can be a little different for everyone, this is a good listen for people in that situation or time in their life.

This audiobook is a perfect blend of humor and honesty about the wild ride of turning fifty. Linda A. Sanchez captures every frustrating, funny, and freeing part of midlife with a voice that feels like your best friend telling it straight. I laughed, nodded, and even teared up at how real it all felt. It’s refreshing, empowering, and a must-listen for anyone navigating the chaos of hormones, change, and self-discovery.

I listened start to finish in one fell swoop. Sanchez had me grinning and shaking my head "yes." I'm 65 now and survived the change. I can even think clearly again, so be encouraged. The narrator did a great job. My only critic of the book is that it felt a bit like an advertisement for functional medicine. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I just wish I had known about this element before I started listening.

Ladies, have fun listening! You will enjoy this book!

This book had me laughing out loud and also quietly saying “same” way too many times. Turning 50 is usually talked so seriously and Marie makes it absolutely hilarious and painfully relatable. It’s raw and honest but also strangely comforting like talking to your friend who has zero filter. And I have to say the voice actor is perfect, the delivery makes it even better.
