it was hard to get into this book at first but it ended up really good. alot of action and drama. I didnt realize this book is also a part of a series, so I'm sure there is alot of other details that makes sense if you've read the other books. but I liked the narrator and the characters!

This whole series is exciting, and, full of crazy twists... I have enjoyed it; the whole series overall, not just this book.... the story is so, sublime, the perspectives we, the reader, get to experience really help the pacing, and, keep things moving... but, i wanted more, at the end....



Spoilers:


this ending left me wanting more, for sure.... especially, about what the world looks like, now, without Emmaline's power in effect... mostly, I expected more birds, I guess, haha, or, some big "fog lifting" moment, where all could, finally, tell they had been seeing the world incorrectly... and, it is still plausible to save it.... maybe... skies more blue with birds... i loved Juliette holding the puppy... and, would not change this book, in any way... just a bit more... 😊
