I'll paint this moment immortal.
Months of texting silly innuendos led to the hottest moment of my young life. Instead of dealing with the moment like an adult, I ghost him for nine days. Just when I think I'm ready to face him, he's on his way out to hook up.
I lose my shit.
Coming clean about past heartbreak isn't easy. Navigating what I promise is a 'no expectations' relationship proves impossible—not just because falling for Haze Prosser is far too easy, but because I'm internally freaking out as two-thirds of my brothers are off fighting brutal criminals, leaving me home to take care of my unhinged brother's perfectly safe husband.
It's all fine until Voss calls in a panic and needs immediate backup. I don't have a choice but to drag Oakley and Haze straight into the heart of NYC's mafia families.
Everything will be fine…

Imry's and Haze's relationship growing is quite interesting and authentic. It takes a while for them to get on the same page, but the payoff is so worth it.
Another great performance in the Van Doren series

So much naughtiness and I loved it

There were several really interesting plot points introduced that I was so excited the get into that were then passed over. Like it truly seemed like that was where the book was headed and we’d get some good adventure, suspense, and murder. Then the other brothers just go handle it. We see and participate in none of it and never even hear what went down. Why even build it up in the first place?!
It also just kind of ended. We didn’t get a satisfying talk with Loren about what went down or how he feels about what his husband went through when he was gone on the mission we didn’t get to hear anything about.
One note
