You'll lose a lot of sleep.... Ralph does. At first he starts waking up earlier. And earlier. Then the hallucinations start - the colours, shapes and strange auras. Not to mention the bald doctors who always turn up at the scene of a death.

That's when Ralph begins to lose a lot more than sleep. When he begins to understand why his hitherto mild-mannered friend, Ed, is getting out of control - dangerously so. And why his hometown is about to become the new Armageddon....

I've read a number of King titles recently and enjoyed them all. This one wasn't bad. It just isn't especially good. I kept finding myself drifting off thinking about other things. The narrator is top notch however.

Just not that captivating

The story is great, but between every chapter or perhaps tense scene, this bloody annoying guitar/violin screams at you, drowning out the narrator. I missed a fair bit of the end and start of chapters by having to skip forward to avoid the noise.

Great story, frustrating music!

The music is horrible and too loud but I would give 6 even 7 stars for the story.

The story makes up for the horrible music

Great, exception is the stupid random music they put in. please stop that. It takes you out of the story.

Good narrator, good story, crappy music

Good story, a bit slow but with a good ending, classic Stephen King type of novel. Eli Wallach's narration is very good too but the underlying music can be really disruptive and overpowers the narration at times.

music is a bit overpowering
